Message from Andrew Buckton, CEO:
I am delighted to announce that Mr Chris Walker, our Deputy Head, has been promoted to the role of Headteacher of Culverhill School with effect from September.
Chris is a strong leader and is passionate about the Culverhill community, and we know that he will lead the school from strength to strength.
We would like to inform you that we are in the middle of changing school uniform suppliers. This has resulted in some limited stock now becoming available in school. If you would like to place an order, the uniform that we have is available through 'School Money'. If your requirements are unavailable, you should be able to order through the new supplier very soon, details to follow.......
Dear Parents/Carers,
Having scrutinised the Met Office’s published information on Storm Eunice, and the rare red weather warning, I have made the decision to close our schools tomorrow.
The advice from Met Office Chief Meteorologist states that Storm Eunice will bring damaging gusts in what could be one of the most impactful storms to affect southern and central parts of the UK for a few years.”
“The red warning area indicates a significant danger to life as extremely strong winds provide the potential for damage to structures and flying debris.”
South Glos is currently on the border line of the red area and in terms of risk assessment I have taken the decision now so as to give families and staff time to plan for supported home learning.
Andrew
