Latest Update - Head Teacher

22/05/20

22nd May 2020

Dear Parents, Carers and Pupils,

I just wanted to touch base with you before the half term break. Thank you for continuing to support your child’s learning at home this term. We have all enjoyed seeing the various photos and comments on Seesaw of all the wonderful things that your children have been doing. Thank you!

This is a short update to let you know that our staff will be taking a well-deserved break next week so there will be no work set during the half term week.  We do not expect your children to be engaging with school work during this time as they need to enjoy a break too. It is important for pupils, parents and staff to rest and recharge. I am sure you can appreciate that our staff have been working very hard to ensure that your children’s learning and connectedness to the school is maintained as much as possible under these circumstances. There has been a huge amount going on behind the scenes from the school leadership team as we navigate our way through these challenging and unprecedented times and as advice and guidance changes. We will be resuming our home learning provision from the first of June.

A letter will be published on the website on Monday detailing the next steps in our planning for a wider phased re-opening. As you know, we have been gathering information to complete our risk assessments for this next step and we will be sending out further letters next week, by post, with provisional offers for priority pupils as we begin to extend our offer. Please keep checking for texts from the school about website updates.

For now I wish you all a restful and healthy bank holiday weekend and half term week and thank you so much for all your efforts and contributions to your child’s education.

Very best wishes for now,

Sue
