Important Update - Key stage 3 bubble
Important update - Key Stage 3 Bubble 16/09/20
Dear parents and carers of children in the Key stage three (Year 7,8 and 9) bubble
We have now received the result of the test, which is unfortunately positive. Following the advice from PHEHPT (Public Health England Health protection team) this now means your child will need to remain in quarantine for the remainder of the 14 days. This means they need to remain in quarantine until and including the 25th of September. Advice from PHE south West HPT states “The house hold of the wider group do not need to self-isolate unless the contact (your child) subsequently develops symptoms”. If anyone in your household develops symptoms you must book a test and let us know the outcome.
Pupils can return to school on the 28th of September providing they or a member of their household have not developed symptoms.
We will be providing home learning via SeeSaw for this period. Staff teams will be in contact with you regarding this process.
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding at this very difficult time.
