Head Teachers Update

Head Teachers Update April 1st 2020

1st April 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope that you are all keeping safe and well and that you and your children are slowly getting used to the new routines and ways of learning, living and working during the Corona virus situation.

All staff at Culverhill are continuing to work tirelessly to provide activities for your child on SeeSaw, as well as organising free school meals,  remaining in touch with all pupils whilst carrying out wellbeing checks on our most vulnerable children and preparing for the time when the school will be open initially for children of keyworkers. There is much preparation going on behind the scenes and we need to ensure that we have the correct protocols and procedures in place so that the school is safe, clean and adequately staffed.

Having taken guidance from the Local Authority, we are also planning for EHCP Annual Reviews which we will be conducting over the phone in June. We will contact you in due course to update you on this process if you have not yet had your child’s annual review this academic year.

Hopefully you have seen the updated news section of our website where we have added some additional information about supporting learning at home. Please do keep checking our website and SeeSaw for updates and resources and also the DFE website for updated Government information in regards to Coronavirus. The latest update can be found on: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/closure-of-educational-settings-information-for-parents-and-carers

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support during these difficult times. Your children are at the forefront of our thoughts and work. We will continue to update you with news and developments as they arise.

For now, please take good care and keep safe and well.

Very best wishes,

Sue Hewitt
