Sarah Holt
Sarah Holt, our Deputy Headteacher, plays a crucial role in supporting the Headteacher in managing the school. Sarah oversees the day-to-day operations, ensuring that school policies are implemented effectively. She also focuses on staff development, Social emotional and mental health provision, pupil behaviour, and parental engagement, working to create a supportive and collaborative school community.

Claire Mays
Claire Mays is responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of our school's curriculum. As the Assistant Headteacher for Curriculum, Claire ensures that our curriculum is broad, balanced, and meets the needs of all pupils. She works with teachers to develop innovative teaching strategies and integrates new educational technologies to enhance pupil learning experiences.

Naomi Cowley
Naomi Cowley oversees the school's assessment processes as the Assistant Headteacher for Assessment. Her role includes monitoring pupil progress, analysing data to inform decisions, and ensuring that assessments are fair, consistent, and aligned with educational standards. Naomi also provides support and training for teachers in effective assessment practices.

Sally Clark
Sally Clark is our Safeguarding Lead, responsible for working closely with families to provide them with the support they need, and to ensure school and home are safe places for children and families. Sally leads the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures, providing training and support to staff on safeguarding issues. She is the lead contact for social care and works closely with external agencies and is the primary point of contact for any safeguarding concerns, ensuring that our school remains a secure environment for all pupils.

Olivia JonesSpecial Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO)
Olivia Jones
Olivia Jones serves as our SENDCO, focusing on monitoring our provision. Olivia ensures that these pupils receive appropriate support and accommodations to succeed academically and socially. She collaborates with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop EHCPs and provides guidance on inclusive teaching practices.

Claire EvansWell-being and Vulnerable Groups Coordinator
Claire Evans
Claire Evans is dedicated to supporting the well-being of all pupils, with a particular focus on those who are vulnerable or at risk. In her role, Claire develops and implements programs to promote health, emotional resilience, and social skills. She works closely with pupils, families, and staff to identify and address any barriers to learning, ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to thrive. Claire is also our lead for Alternative provision and EMTAS (Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service).

Polly JonesAttendance Lead
Polly Jones
Polly Jones is our Attendance Officer, dedicated to promoting and maintaining high levels of pupil attendance. Phil monitors attendance records, identifies patterns of absenteeism, and works with pupils, families, and staff to address any barriers to regular attendance. His efforts help ensure that every pupil has the opportunity to benefit fully from their education.

Liz HoskenPhysical and Sensory HLTA
Liz Hosken
Liz works closely with external agencies, such as Physiotherapists & Occupational Therapists, to ensure pupils’ physical, functional & accessible needs are met. She monitors & implements Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy plans & liaises with the therapists frequently to ensure best outcomes for pupils. Liz supports staff to implement these plans, where applicable, into the school day & encourages pupils to be independent in carrying out their plans themselves. She is also in contact with parents & updates on progress. When needed Liz can make referrals & is in contact with other external sources of support.

Careers and Transitions Adviser for Culverhill School – providing individual careers advice and guidance to all our young people and their families around the transition after Year 11, post-16 options and progression routes.

Jane StonehouseEnable Trust Lead Speech and Language Therapist
Jane Stonehouse
Jane Stonehouse is the Enable Trust Lead Speech and Language Therapist. She works at Culverhill School 2-3 days per week with additional support from S< assistants. The S< Team will support children and young people to develop their language skills; develop augmentative methods of communication such as communication boards and high tech communication aids; develop social communication skills; develop speech sound production and develop fluency whilst talking.
The S< team work very closely with the school staff to ensure that pupils’ speech. language, communication and interaction skills are met effectively. This may be on a one to one basis or in small groups but the majority of pupil’s needs are met within the specialist environment of the class with the support of the S<.
